The 13th age of Midgard

AO 2.2 To Shockquake.

AO_mountains.jpg
Quaestor Vastari Durrel once again summons the adventurers to the teleportation chamber. The teleportation warlocks have finished repairing the spinning rings that line the tubular hall, and are ready once more to fling the adventurers into the unknown. The assimar Vastari steps forwards…
“The second missing part of the Mystic Orrery was hidden in a prison called Shockquake, far in the Overworld in a place called the Shattered Realm. Contact was lost with the prison at the end of the last age, when the Diabolist’s plague ravaged the land. It is only recently that we have discovered the prison’s true importance, and have made a concerted effort to find it. We do not know what you will find there, except that the prison definitely has something or someone living there. The missing part of the Mystic Orrery that you are to fetch back is a gear that looks like a crown.
I would wish you luck, but luck is for those that do not have the right spells and skills. You have the right stuff. We will meet again soon.”
With that she hurries behind a protective screen as the rings in the chamber begin to spin to life. With a sensation like falling upwards, the adventurers once again find themselves rushing through the space-between-spaces…

Archmage's Orrery

The adventurers are contacted by the Archmage himself and asked by him to recover a missing part of the Mystic Orrery. An orrery is a mechanical device that predicts the movement of celestial bodies, and for centuries the Mystic Orrery has accurately predicted celestial events and their effect on magic. However, the Mystic Orrery’s predictions are becoming increasingly erratic, and it turns out that an Archmage of a previous age removed some parts and hid them away from her successors. The whole Dragon Empire is at risk, as the rules
of magic begin to fluctuate. Something big is approaching, something that the current Archmage is unable to foresee. Powerful wards keep the Archmage and his immediate underlings from retrieving the needed parts, but the wards don’t account for people like the adventurers.
The adventurers start the adventure in Vantage, a secret flying city run by the Archmage. Once the first part is retrieved the Archmage will transport the adventurers to the remaining locations.

The Castle of ALL Seasons

The party is welcomed at the castle gates by a monolith suit of empty armor. It proclaims that they can stay but a single night before must be gone within a day.
The heroes explore the run down castle but find nothing but mice, owls and foxes. They suspect they are being deceived by the illusionary tricks of the fey. After several unsuccessful attempts by the magical animated armor and floating wizard robes. Some of the lesser servants started to appear to Capt Kora. Apparently with each battle the group earned respect and reputation.
Sozin manged to win the approval of the lantern drake but shortly the queens dogs and ravens were called to eject the party. The dogs turned out to be demons that stand upright but look like dogs. The ravens were Tengu duelists who set into the party. Although they fought valiantly they could not overcome the last demon dog and found themselves ejected from the grounds. They awoke in a cabin in woods.

Down the shadow road
Have fun at the castle.

Our heroes make their way down the shadow road towards the castle of all seasons. The shadowrealm is place unlike anything the heroes have seen. While there is no sun or stars there seems to be a wisps of light as if the sky is covered by a web. The chill in the air soaks into the bones and the adventures keep moving to stay warm. The forest is constantly rustling but you never see anything.

Unwilling to step off the road to investigate the group quickly continues on. On the shadowroad you never get hungry and that is a blessing because the food has no taste. It’s like the air sucks out all the flavor. Grey grey grey everything is grey. All whispers of nothing ringing in your ears.

The road continues down the mountain into the forest. Sozin leads the way until the road ends suddenly. Some giant has ripped up the road and stacked the stones into menhirs. Lupta used his racial connection with the giant owls to call the shadowy raptors to carry the heroes across to the other side of the gap.

After a life time of walking the road once again disappeared only to be replaced by a river. Capt Kora noticed something familiar with the water. Something reminded her of the sky realm mirages that plague sky skips when they go too high. Captain bravely steps into the water. The water swirls away reveling the road.

Sozin resorts to telling the heroic stories of the dragons from the Mharoti Empire to pass the time. He was just getting started on the tale of the white drake Menfordigbog and the unlucky pink skin when the heroes are attacked by dire shadow bees. Each has stinger that is as long as the body. The grey and white bees are able to find their way between the joints of the sturdiest armor. This wasn’t the first time that Sozin has bee attacked by giant insects. Back in when he was sailor on the windjammer they happened to bump into the a swamp of bees when searching for fresh water on an island. Luckily ships cook taught him how to make a repentant using Local flowers, dirt, and bottle of troglodyte musk.

The heroes follow the shadowbrick road till the heroes are stopped by 3 forest marauders. Each 10 feet high and demand that they move out of the way of her elfiness . All the years as captain of the Clouddasher commanding sailors gives her an authoritative tone. The giants and their previously hidden shadow haunt allies make way for the party. Clearing the road to the Castle. Kora turns to Lupta and says "you were right and I was less right. you don’t have to kill everything you encounter. "

The road ends at the bottom of a winding stair leading up a hill side. The dim light brightens for a moment, just enough to see towers and walls on two hills to the right and left.

Isabella: Unlikely Dragonslayer

It was supposed to have been a diplomatic mission, a little trip to secure diplomatic alliances with the Knights of the Undying Sun and, in the meantime, do a little relaxing, basking in the sun of…wherever she was going. While Isabella adored the dark elves, their underground world did nothing for her complexion. In fact, her skin was beginning to take on the frosty color of the moon. This would simply not stand. So, she loaded 72 trunks with her vacationing clothes, including extra skimpy bikinis, and headed a caravan to one of the paladin’s castles.
But, upon her arrival, when she was greeted by delectable little paladin getting swallowed whole by a three-headed dragon, she knew she was in over her head. Isabella delved in secrets, sashaying among the upper crust and giving smoldering looks to whomever needed to be charmed. She crept; she flitted; she disguised; she bluffed; she seduced; she radiated charm. She did not dragon slay.
And yet, somehow, she survived. In addition to surviving a hell hole, she could now add “survived not one, but two, dragon attacks and slayed her would-be killers”. It was certainly not something she would make a habit of.
Oh, but there was a treasure at the end. One dragon, the shadowy Sheza-kah (aka: Chaka “I Feel for You” Khan) had inexplicably carved all her secrets, her careful master-minded plots, into the side of her cave wall. Isabella adored checklists. But, leaving a copy of her plots and secrets carved into the side of a wall in 1’ tall letters took checklists to the extreme. Even though publicly displaying the world-shattering machinations of the Prince of Shadows was probably not the best idea, Isabella did admire the boldness and daring of the dragon. Here was a being with a purpose and a queen-sized ego. Too bad she didn’t want to chat, negotiate or parlay; surely, some sort of understanding could have been reached. And that’s what Isabella missed about the elves—they talked things through. They plotted and smiled at each other with daggers behind their teeth. It wasn’t all about swinging swords and blowing each other up. With the elves, if someone needed to be dispatched there was always a dagger in the back, a poisoned cup, or a poisonous spider slipped surreptitiously under the blankets of a bed. But everyone in Zobeck wanted to fight. From the fascinating Fae-dwellers who were now prowling around the Zobeckian sewers—not exactly the high point of Zobeck, but to each their own—to a plotting dragon, everyone was ready to leap to their swords. Where was the civility?
Zobeck was getting as bad as the dwarves. She would certainly not be missing that as she took her leave of that city that once was her home. But she would miss her companions.
Rafferty had taken a small doll shop and turned it into the center of a rapidly expanding criminal empire, and Isabella reinforced their bond by promising shipments of dark elf poisons, extracted from the spores of fungi of the Under Dark.
Since their last adventure, HK’s musicianship had excelled, reaching mastership. Whenever Isabella was on the verge of a mental breakdown or collapse, he would pipe up with a resplendent song or a robotic word of encouragement. If he could write music as well as he could play, he would have jobs galore in the elf kingdoms as the aristocracy would clamor for ballads.
The half-angelic Sveta, herself a Knight of the Undying Sun, also remained a source of inspiration. Whenever Isabella was feeling down, which was often during this particular caper in which the ravishing spymaster was out of her element, Sveta was there with a prayer or a swat on the back, as if to say “that-a girl” in her warrior-esque way.
Their last night together was bittersweet. Rejoining her companions—her friends—at Ophelia-ups Dinner Theatre, they drank to their success, all the while Isabella wiping away her tears with her perfumed handkerchief as she bid them farewell and promised to keep in touch.

Crown of the Lich Queen

Character Building Session
You are asked to steal a crown that is in the possession of the Lich Queen. The crown belongs to Baron Voth, a lieutenant of Nicoforus the Emperor of the Ghouls .It is no secret that Nicoforus would like to rise from the underworld and feast on Zobeck and her allies. With the baron’s phylactery the free city just might have enough leverage to stop that happening for at least another year .

The Lich Queen’s skull fortress is located at the centre of an evershifting maze on a hidden island and it is there that the crown is located. First you must rescue the only person to knows how to navigate the maze, an adventurer that went missing near the village of Roachdale. Then you must travel to the island, avoid the Lich Queen’s sleepless guards, steal the crown from under her nose and escape with your souls intact.

Session 1
AytchKae the gearforged musketeer troubadour of the Clockwork Oracle, Beebs a woodelf possessed by a raging nature spirit whose forest has been destroyed, and Desdemona a little girl that died before she could grow up who sees space and time, traveled to the Desi’s home town of Roachdale. The group was tasked by the great oracle and the Zobeck city council to track down the trollkin adventurer Jont Urner, last seen near Roachdale, Jont is rumored to be the only living person to know how to reach the center of Necropolis, the home of the Lich Queen.

Our heroes first challenge was overcoming the swarm of giant insects that formed a moat around the keep and covered the rest of the town. It was a plague of these demonic influenced bugs that had slain Desi’s parents and the rest of the villagers. Aytchkae started to clear the path with a mighty note that caused the bugs to flee from him, Desi followed by climbing in her families old cooking cauldron and rolling through the next portion of the insect hoard. Beebs pushed the cauldron forward to the base of the hill bull dozing a temporary path to walk in. (Everybody succeeded in their skill challenges so they didn’t lose any recoveries and the skill challenges for the next person wasn’t increased)

As they climbed towards the top of hill the sounds of several voices arguing back and forth as well as cheers and scoffing drifted through the runes. Spying around a broken wall our group saw 5 creatures gambling with dice. Desi remembered reading about such creatures when she was researching the Crusader (Icon advantage and let the party get near bye without being discovered) The 2 imps were the most dangerous and were known for spitting a green cursed bile. The dretchs were the low of the lowest of demons. When a demon is eaten by another their waste becomes dretches. Filthy creatures with filth covered poison claws.

While the heroes discussed their plain of action the demons noticed them lurking about. The heroes tried to entice the demons to a game of chance but the demons seemed more afraid of somebody they called the “Big Boss” and attacked the group. In the ensuring battle the creatures were defeated leaving no survivors to alert any other enemy.

Searching the area, your stomach turn as you realize the demons where playing dice an betting human eye balls. Beebs pulls a silver key (20gp) on a necklace from around the neck of the greenish Imp as she retrieves her throwing axe. Desi found a potion of healing ( recover+ d8) and an oil of hardening (+1AC for one battle) that she gives to AytchKae.

Before you is a staircase leading down into what you believe to be a living dungeon that the demons must have hitched a ride on as it rose from the under world to the surface.

AytchKae being well versed in history and lore is able to inform the rest of the group on these creatures.

Living dungeons sometimes roar up from the deeps of the underworld; if they’re not killed off, they eventually erupt onto the surface. Some people say that the living dungeons don’t follow any logic; they’re bizarre expressions of malignant magic others say they are birthed by the evil hermaphrodite god and mother of monsters, The Goat of the Woods.

Some living dungeons can be slain by eliminating all their monsters. Others have actual crystalline hearts, and can be slain by specific magic rituals whose components and clues can be found among their corridors and chests.

Armed with that knowledge you start down the stairs to find the adventurer Jont.

Session 2
The three traveled deeper and deeper into the dungeon until they entered the heart chamber. The room was obviously a well used torture chamber. Fearful that Jont Umber, Bebes’ trollkin friend, was one of the unfortunates the heroes inspected the bodies. To their amazement the man in the cage lived. Jont was alive but the skin on his back had been stolen. Trollkin tough he would survive but the pain made it difficult for him to speak. As Jont tried to describe this captor a loud screech filled the air. The party turned to see a huge Vrock demon enter the room followed by a half dozen human faced insects the size of dogs. The group quickly dispatched the damned souls leaving only the vulture demon.

The fight was looking grim as otherworldly poison coursed through their veins and the blasphemy of unholy words echoed in their ears. Until, HK sung the ballad of Bratislor where the Emperor of Ghouls and his vampire minions hold winter solstice much to the horror of the local framers. As the song reached it’s second verse Desi finally was able to channel the filthy creature’s swart karma back at it in a sudden burst. The tale inspired the spirit inside Bebes to infuse her failing body with hatred for one last sudden burst of strength. A two handed blow from Bebe’s club sent a loud crack through the room as the creatures neck bent unnaturally backwards. A quick spin and another blow removed the demons head and any question of it’s state.

Inspecting the room, none of the other people survived the demons attention. Rolled up on a table, laying with tools whose only purpose is to cause misery, was Jont’s back. Tattooed there was a map with moving topography. Jont slowly explained that his wizard friend tattooed the map on his back and taught him the ritual that would show the way to the island of the Lich queen,an ally Baron Voth , and to her place in the city of the dead. All that was needed was a tooth of a white dragon descended from the great white that the lich queen had turned into a dragon lich slave and the magical rules of like attracting like would help lead the way.

Bebes knew of a former dragon hunter living in Zobeck named Shez-a-kah. The group easily found the demon-touched exhunter in a run down dockside bar. Angry and more that a little drunk Shez-a-kah was unreasonable. She invited the heroes outside where she quickly punched Bebes in the face and swung her flaming sword at Desi. Luckily what would have cut an adult in half passed over Desi’s head. With a bucket full of pleas and almost the same quantity of tears Desi convinced the woman to stop fighting as HK held back Bebes who was certain that her club could stimulate sobriety.

Shez-a-kah’s disdain for the group of dragon snacks was evident but she provided a map to the hunting grounds of the White’s offspring. To get there the group would need to cross the Country of Morgau, a ally of the Ghoul Emperor. Leaving Jont to make preparations for the ritual to enspell the dragon tooth the party gathered supplies and start the two week journey to the Cloudwall Mountains.

A week and a half later, the three adventures moved onwards toward the snow covered Cloudwall Mountains. Leaving behind the small hill where the bodies of a ghoul pack lay scattered. Desi wondered if all the undead were as easy to unravel as these were. The pack had been tracking them for several nights but when it finally caught them they were easily sent to their final piece by spell, song and club. Overall the group was thankful that travel through Morgau had been so uneventful. A small pack of newly risen ghouls and their Darakhul master was a far cry from the infamous Ghost Knights of Doresh, vampire cavaliers of the highest order. HK offered a quick prayer to Rava as the group started to ascend the foothills.

Armed with that knowledge you start down the stairs to find the adventurer Jont.

As the party traveled further and further into the mountains, it became apparent that the highlands were a different place than the forests and hills that you are use to. After a couple of failed attempts to navigate the slopes and ascend the Cloudkill mountains you decided that you must find a local guide.
As you approach a small village the inhabitants locked their doors and shuttered their windows before you. Obviously visitors are not often seen and their suspicions where high. A couple of the men stopped you in the road and asked your business. HK stepped forward and quickly won the trust of Erik the black smith and the others. Erik tells you about a hunter that ranges up to the old fort hunting foxes but warns you about powerful shroud-eater vampires that rule the heights. Also that a direct route runs underground to the ghoul emporium, allies of the undead lords of Morgau.
Undaunted the group decides to travel on. However the sun was getting low in the alpine valley so Erik invites the party to stay at his house. The party is a little shocked that he pulls a awl out of his apron and pokes his finger and shows to the group. Realizing that he is showing that he bleeds and is not undead, Beebs and Desi offer their hands to be tested. HK is exempt obviously.
Thanking Erik, Vetta, and the kids for their hospitality the heroes follow their directions to the home of The hunter. The promise of gold easily convinced Sven to lead the heroes up the ridge safely to the ruins of the dwarven fort although he would only go so far because of the dragon men.
“Little dragon men dressed in bright colors and wearing sheets on their heads have moved into the ruins. A army of 3 fives or more of the little beasts. I don’t want to tangle with that lot so ill take you up but only so far. " True to his word the hike was uneventful and Sven left you an hour from your goal.
“Stop!” Beebs signaled. " There is something moving in the snow ahead" fearing it was a hidden dragon the party prepared by drinking thee potions of frost resistance they had purchased in Zobeck.
As they approached the snow bank, 6 white dragons lept from the snow bank. Desi was unimpressed with the hatchlings. “Look, how cute they aren’t any bigger than my neighbors dog. Nothing to be scared of”
The flight of wurms was fast and tore into the group before any body could react. HK was able to defend himself by parrying razor sharp claws and fending off tooth filled maws bur was dented in several places. Beebs dodged back and forth swinging her club wildly and holding the 2 drakes on her at bay. The 2 that attacked Desi fared much better. Desi barely avoided the tooth and claws of the first one but in the process fell backwards leaving herself vulnerable to its hatch mate who raked her with claws and bit into her arm. While that happen the fist one was able to breath a stream of blizzard breath downing Desi and covering her in a blanket of ice.

HK tried to pull away but the dragons kept pressing. Striking out with his raper he stuck one of his opponents solidly but even baby dragons have a thick hide to protect them. Unfortunately hk didn’t notice that one of the whites that had dispatched Desi had snuck up on him. It ripped into him snapping springs and jarring delicate gears.

Beebs fared better and 2 of her wild swings connected solidly. Seeing her friend Desi overcome, Beebs laid into her opponents with little heed for her own safety striking all three of the dragons and dispatching one. Much to Beebs amazement one of the other drakes started to disappear. A panicked look filled its eyes as it kept fading and fading till it was only something that never was. Hearing a little girl laugh Beebs knew that Desi was back in the fight.

Desi quickly turned to help Hk after hearing metal grinding on metal. She saw the white with the long tail latch onto HK’s side and crush him in it’s jaws. She looked into the void between moments and struck out at the creature slaying it before it could serve HK that fate.
An alive and well HK fanedman attack and stepped back from the 2 live drakes. He spoke the arcane words and the ground and air in front of him started to shake as he summoned thunder.
Without numbers the remaining hatchlings were quickly dispatched. Upon inspection both HK and Desi agreed that the babies didn’t have enough magic in their teeth to be an effective compasses.

The kobolds were camped out in the ruins in front of the ice cave just as Sven had described. Huddled around poor meager fires about 30 kobolds huddled together for what little warmth there was to be had. HK explained that he believes these to be emissaries of the dragon empire to the south. What busness they may have with the dragons of Cloudkill was unknown.

Dispite being curious about the flying packs that some of the kobolds were wearing the group decided that it would be wise to avoid a conflict with so many. Using machine speak HK instructed the Zobeckian messager bird. Following instructions the bird flew to the opposite side of the kobold camp and started singing. The ruckus drew all the kolbolds attention and the heros snuck into the cave.

Navigating tunnels surrounded by blue ice the group finally found a large cavern occupied by two adult white dragons. The wisdom of sneaking past the kobolds was evident as luckily the dragons still slept. Beebs let the others know she was concerned because she had seen tracks for three different dragons and to watch for the unseen third.

Plans were made and Beebs charged forward with an overhead swing to crush its skull while it slept. Unfortunately a small fissure in the ice tripped her and took most of the power from the blow. Desi was quick to react and pushed visions of its soon be be death into the dragons mind. Blood tricked from the dragons noise as Desi whispered secrets even dragons can not stand to know. With a quick strike to the neck Beebs dispatched the beast
Not to be overshadowed by the girls HK staggered the one on the ledge with a lightning spell. Causing it to react slowly but soon enough it was on HK. It’s claws left deep furrows in his arms but he kept the head away from his throat. The beast took a step back and with a deep exhale sent a cloud of super cooled air into the room. Covered in frost hk lunged forward piercing the creature with his blade. Emerging from the fog Beebs lept to engage the creature. Desi inflicted wounds from another reality. Victory was assured.
The messager bird repeated the words that had been embedded into its memory by the dragon hunter. “HK one last piece of advice remember that whites are cowards and prefer to attack from surprise.” HK spun and slinking down the tunnel they had come from was the third dragon. HK hurled a powerful thunder spell that tor into the wurm. Wounded horrible It sought escape by diving into the well cut by the running water. Unfortunately HKs lightning bolt thrower had recharged and he unleashed a bolt directly into the dragons chest and into the hole. The shaft exploded with light and steam as the lightning bolt bounced back and forth. The dragon was no more.

Bloody and dented but victorious, the three adventurers grabbed teeth from one of the dragons, what they assumed was the kobold tribute and set out back down the cold mountain. They had the map. They had the ritual and dragon teeth to make a compass. Soon they would have the Crown.

You are Asked to steal a crown that is in the possession of the Lich Queen. This is conclusion write-up to the Crown of the lich queen story

Characters: Desi, Beebs, HK, Radomir the first

After defeating the giant abomination and the necrotic parasites infecting it, the group hurried after the Baron and his flunkies. Beebs stopped the group, she had noticed unnatural holes in the walls and some discolored stepping stones that were probably some type of trap. The trap was easily bypassed but a little further down the hall another trap was discovered before it was set off. HK felt a strange tingling on his metal skin, usually associated with magic nearby, and found a rune of rot trap. He carefully erased a key trigger to disable the evil magic. All of a sudden Desi was launched into the air by a second trap. She had seen something lodged in the dirt and kicked at it. As she touched it trap the magic inside was released and magic that reversed gravity slamming her into the roof of the tunnel and held her there for a minute. Badly bruised she and the rest of the group continued after the baron.

A little further down the hallway voices were heard arguing. Beebs moved like a hunting cat silently getting closer so she could hear the conversation, Three Lich stood in a room filled with gold, powerful artifacts and treasure from all ages of the world. It was obvious from their conversation that the lich’s in the room felt the Lich Queen would punish them all if the Baron took back his crown from her. Taking a great risk HK boldly stepped in the room and offered a deal to the undead wizards. They would deal with the Baron for the unliving trio and all they needed to do was to walk away. HK also offered his halfling bone talisman to sweeten the deal and the princes of undeath agreed. As they walked away they could be heard laughing about not only having solved their rebellious baron problem but the jawbone of saint Barth had fallen in their laps. Hoping that they had the better part of the trade and it wouldn’t come back to haunt them, the heroes prepared to confront Voth.

They found the frustrated Baron in a room surrounded by crowns. Apparently the queen had anticipated the Barons failing loyalty and hide his soul container in a room filled with identical crowns. Hanging on the walls, sitting on tables and thrown all over the floor were crowns magically enchanted to be identical to the Barons. The battle with Baron Von Voth was a short one. The dwarven lich was caught off guard and without allies to help he wasn’t able to recover. Hk unleashed a massive electricity bolt, Dessi changed reality to ensure that it hit a vulnerable spot and Beebs followed up with a double strike from her club. It was over and the pile of bones turned to a fine yellow green mist and flowed to the lich’s real phylactery. As a side effect of the barons psychic attacks from his crystal staff the heroes saw visions of the barons past. Hk saw the fall of the baron as he offered his loyalty to the Lich Queen in exchange for undeath. Desi saw the Lich queens ally Nicoforus, the Emperor of the Ghouls, task the Baron to find out more about a little girl who died but breaths again. Confirming that the Dread and Endless Imperium has an interest in her. Beebs saw an undead army and the baron commanding them to burn down a forest where escaped peasants were hiding under the protecting of a nature spirit and how he had magically sealed that spirit, the one now inside her, into one of the burning trees.

Dessi grabbed the lich’s crown and quickly placed it along with a sparkling necklace that nobody had seen before on her doll Miss Juju. Fog started to poor from the joints of the rock wall as the rocks themselves started to fade. Desi leapt through the wall on on to the opening a shadow road and was quickly followed by the others. Luckily Radomir had finsihed rewinding and repairing his ever-wound springs and was able to escape the island with the group.

The group found themselves on a pathway in a twilight forest. After some time of walking Radomir pointed out that time didn’t seem to we normal as the moon was in the same place and it still appeared to be dusk. A horn was heard in the distance with the baying of hounds. It wasn’t long before their fears were confirmed they were the ones being hunted as a pack of human faced dogs burst from the underbrush. The hounds, if you can call those unfortunate souls that, kept snapping, growling, and threatening what their master would do when he arrived but they would not enter the path.

After a few minutes an elf riding a great stag road into view and introduced himself as the Prince of Summer Rain. The shadow elf explained he had be sent to collect the crown for “her” and to show them the way to Zobeck. As they walked and talked the prince made many strange offers such as trading shadow elf magic for their day, a potion made from unicorn tears,a sword forged of star light and tempered in a widows sorrow. Beebs was in no mood for unseelie nonsense decided to address the witchery with a good stiff application of her oak club and was barely held back by her companions. Summer Rain seemed to lose interest in the head of Hk after finding it contained too much iron for his liking. Desi asked about being a full grown girl and Summer Rain transformed her temporarily in to a 6 ft tall little girl, full grown but not adult. Not knowing exactly what the fey prince was offering and wise to the cost of fairy bargains the group politely refused to trade. Desi decided it best to conclude their business and tossed the crown to the Prince. The forest started to fade and the group found themselves back in Zobeck. Strangely the bottom of their shoes had been worn out as if they had walked across the continent.

They had survived the isle of the dead, rescued the first gearforged, and defeated the Baron Von Voth thus ending the undead threat to Zobeck for now.

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.
